Hello! My name is Bethany Seib. I'm an artist who enjoys roller skating and hula hooping. When I was younger I was a competitive artistic skater. Although I loved to compete my interests led me in new directions. While I was in college I began hula hooping with a group of friends. We learned new tricks together in the summer. While studying visual art, I began making and selling hula hoops while performing and teaching in the summer. During the summer I would sell my hula hoops on the side and dance at festivals. People began hiring me for gigs and it became a side career. After coming into possession of roller skates I began skating again. I began combining the two skills together to create what I call HoOp Skating. What started out as a fun hobby grew into a form of art. I enjoy exploring the possibilities of roller skating and hula hooping. I'm always exploring new tricks and ways to move. Not only is this a great workout for my body, but it's also my mental therapy. I highly recommend skating and hula hooping.
